Year 6 began our Africa topic with some incredible animal art work. We spent time looking at some of our favourite African animals and then had the tricky decision of choosing only one to make. Possibly the hardest job was cutting the thick cardboard into the correct shapes in order to layer them up to create the 3D style. After we assembled the animals, we had the more fun job of painting them and deciding on what pattern we could add to give it a bold African feel. They look great displayed in the Year 6 shared area and in the Year 6 classrooms, so come and have a look!
