HEADTEACHER'S MESSAGES
I hope this newsletter finds you all well.
It has been an exciting week at Cranleigh C of E Primary. Our Reception and Key Stage One children have been busy practising their Nativity performance. We cannot wait to welcome parents next Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th December. Please contact the school office for more information.
Next week also sees Christmas Jumper Day, Christmas school lunch and our Christmas Fayre. With Advent beginning on Sunday 3rd December, we are officially on the countdown to Christmas - quite possibly my most favourite time of the year.
Wishing you all a very happy weekend.
Mrs Kate Pelazza; Headteacher

Advent marks the beginning of the church year. It is a time for reflection in darkness, for renewal of hope and for a movement towards a beginning.
The words Advent simply means ‘coming’ – it’s the season when Christians remember that God came to Earth to be born as the Christ child, Jesus.
God also promised that Jesus would come again at the end of time to heal all the world’s hurts and divisions. Advent remembers this amazing promise; so, it’s a time of hope, of getting ready, and of expectation.
Do join us in our countdown using this online Advent calendar.

Our local church, St. Nicolas, is holding their Advent Carol Service on Sunday from 6-7pm.
All are welcome.

Schools' Christmas Art Exhibition
For the second year running, some of our children have created artwork for this exhibition which is being held at Guildford Cathedral from 1st December 2023 - 3rd February 2024.
This year, the artwork has been created on the theme of 'God's Gift' and features creations from many of the church schools within the Diocese of Guildford.
It would be lovely if our parents could make a trip to see our children's artwork. If you do, please take a photo of yourselves with the artwork and send it to us; we would love to create a display to celebrate our children.
Well done to Naz, Faith, Mia, Josie-Marie, Lira, Windy, Daryna and Alizza who took part.
